He looks forward to helping those who need basic dental therapy and pain relief in the flint and Lansing communities.

Why Did You Want to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Ewing had suffered migraine headaches as a teenager and through his undergraduate years at the University of Michigan. Primary care physicians, and chiropractors had been unable to help with this pain. His mother had suffered with headaches for as long as Dr. could remember. Thus, Dr. Ewing had questions about headache treatment; in medicine or dentistry.

Dr. Paul Williams, DDS, was the father of Dr. Ewing‘s best friend, Paul. For many years, Dr. Williams was a mentor in both the professional and personal life of a dentist.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Ewing is a University of Michigan graduate with a BS degree (1972) and a DDS degree (1976). Interest in the emotional basis of chronic pain led him back to obtain a masters of counseling (2004) from Spring Arbor University, Spring Arbor, Michigan. He is the author of Quantum Healing, a book on the relationship of quantum physics and health.

Dr. Ewing used to lecture extensively on the topic: “Teeth and Emotions: the Hardware and Software programs of the body”.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Ewing’s personal life is focused on his four children, four grandchildren and his wife, Leslie. They enjoy travel, studying, family activities such as boating, fishing, scuba diving, and hiking.

He enjoys a broad spectrum of reading: psychology, quantum physics, fiction, and nonfiction. Dr. Ewing pursues a balance and life of physical health, mental health, and spiritual health.
